about

This is a piece of generative music built from a simple I-V chord progression with four increasingly dissonant reharmonizations, cut up audio by Greta Thurnberg, Naomi Klein, Donald Trump, the viral video of the Pataxo woman weeping and accusing the state of burning the Amazon, indigenous activists around the Amazon, "Footsteps, Puddles, B.wav" by InspectorJ (www.jshaw.co.uk) of Freesound.org, and Midnight Cowboy all autotuned to F-sharp major along with a gorgeous field recording,
"Field recording of oropendolas and arrendajos at the chagra behind Nainekulodge,Amacayacu,Amazon, Colombia."

The clips are randomly selected every four or eight measures throughout the track, while certain automations occur more regularly. This piece is intended to soundtrack a long form movement score, and help support people engage with the material of climate chaos in a surprising and evocative way.
